Aescher Guesthouse is one of the oldest mountain guesthouses in the country. There are a variety of activities for those of you looking to explore, including hiking up to the Wildkirchli cave or exploring Seealpsee and Ebenalp. The guesthouse is internationally recognized due to the cover of National Geographic magazine in 2015 - Destinations of a Lifetime. How to get there Either you can hike from Wasserauen, directly or via Seealpsee or another option: take a cable car from Ebenalp and then 15 min walk If you decide to hike: Wasserauen->Aescher->Ebenalp it's a moderately challenging hike, 4.6km one way, 2h50min, 941m elevation gain.
