The waterfall near Jaun remained an unsolved mystery for many years. No one knew where the vast quantities of water came from. The waterfall lies directly across from the compactly built village centre of Jaun with its splendid wooden houses, and flows down into the Jaunbach River. If you don't mind the thundering roar of the water, a catwalk leads almost right into the waterfall itself, so you can feel the droplets in the air. It is even more magical in the evening. The waterfall is lit up, and on a winter evening, the magic in the air is even more palpable.
