The Lanna Folklife Museum is a museum in Chiang Mai, Thailand that showcases Northern Thai culture. The building that now contains the museum was once used as a provincial courthouse and renovated into an ethnographic museum in 2012. The museum features a wide range of artifacts including Buddhist art, ceremonial utensils, handicrafts, sculptures, ceramics, paintings and more from the Lanna culture. Visitors can experience the unique culture of Northern Thailand through the interactive exhibits, religious ritual artifacts, lacquerware, woven basketry, traditional musical instruments, wax statues, and other displays. Most recently, the museum presented an exhibition of Phra Upakut amulet statues made of different materials such as wood, stone, bronze, silver, and gold. Whether you're a history buff or just looking for a fun day out, the Lanna Folklife Museum offers something for everyone!
