The Tower of Babel scramble is an adventurous and challenging route that rewards climbers with spectacular views of Moraine Lake and the surrounding Valley of the Ten Peaks. The route begins near the Moraine Lake parking lot and follows a steep scree gully that leads to a narrow ridge. While the ascent is relatively short, it requires good route-finding skills and comfort on loose terrain, as the gully is filled with unstable rocks.

At the top, climbers are treated to unparalleled vistas of Moraine Lake’s turquoise waters and the towering peaks beyond. Due to its steep and exposed sections, this scramble is best suited for experienced climbers with good balance and mountain safety. Early starts are recommended to avoid crowds and ensure stable conditions.
