The Museo de Agua Blanca, located just outside of Puerto Lopez in the Machalilla National Park, is a great place to explore the archaeological remains of six ancient cultures. On display in the museum are a number of artifacts, including obsidian arrowheads, stone-carved seats, and figurines shaped like monkeys, birds, and pigs. Visitors can then take a short walk from the museum to the archaeological dig and marvel at over 600 structures left by the Manteño culture. The combination of indoor and outdoor activities make it the perfect destination for people interested in uncovering the mysteries of Ecuador's past.
