St. Clair's Falls, also known as the "Little Niagara of Sri Lanka," is a wide waterfall located in Talawakele, Sri Lanka. It consists of two main falls, the "Maha Ella" and "Kuda Ella," cascading over three rock outcrops into a large pool. The falls are affected by the Upper Kotmale Hydropower Project, leading to concerns from environmentalists about the impact on the waterfall's volume. Despite this, the government has ensured a limited release of water to maintain a continuous flow over the falls. Overall, St. Clair's Falls is a picturesque spot worth visiting for its natural beauty and serene surroundings.
