Salango is a rural parish of Puerto López Canton, Manabí Province, Ecuador, located on the shores of the Pacific. Salango dates back to pre-Columbian times with an estimated history of around 5,000 years and is steeped in ancient culture and beliefs. Giving life to the story is Salango Island - a small protected reserve off the coast that serves as a home for diverse species like the blue-footed boobie, frigates, and pelicans. In addition to its beautiful wildlife sanctuary, the community also has the Salango Museum and Research Center, which holds more than 4,500 years worth of archaeological artifacts. With the array of attractions that attract people interested in its natural divine energies, Salango is sure to bring you a unique adventure into the history and culture of this special part of Ecuador.
