The Kandy Clock Tower is a landmark in the center of Kandy, Sri Lanka, built in 1950 as a memorial to Mohamed Zacky Ismail. Designed by architect Shirley de Alwis, it reflects Kandyan style with elements from the Temple of the Tooth and the King's palace. The clock tower stands as a tribute to Ismail's son who tragically lost his life in an accident. It's a cool spot to check out if you're ever in Kandy!
