The Museo Arqueologico De Salango and its research center is located in Salango, Manabi where 6 cultural strata were identified that range from the Valdivia period to the Manteño period. Ecuador’s diverse ecological resources and pre-Columbian civilizations are outlined within museums exhibits such as three dimensional reconfigurations, maps, photographs and information boards. Resources like shells, balsa wood and cotton were involved in commercial trading activities stretching as far as Acapulco and Atacama Desert. It's an exciting opportunity to explore the archaeological research in the area and allows for a unique glimpse into the past of Ecuador.
