Message from João Petersen

The Dutch Reformed Church in Sri Lanka, now known as the Christian Reformed Church, is the oldest Protestant church on the island. It was established in 1642 after Dutch missionaries introduced Protestantism to Sri Lanka. The church has a rich history dating back to the Dutch colonial period and continues to have a presence with over 5,000 members and 31 churches across the country. The church follows Reformed, Calvinist beliefs and has strong relationships with other Protestant denominations both locally and internationally.
