Nuema is an exciting and unique restaurant located in Quito, Ecuador. It is owned and run by chef Alejandro Chamorro and his wife and pastry chef Pia Salazar. Nuema is the first Ecuadorean restaurant to ever be featured on the Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants list, and it is well deserving of its recognition. The menu offers many unique dishes incorporating local produce, like u'kuisi, a native Amazonian plant. There's also the opportunity to partake in a special tasting menu with seven courses featuring traditional Ecuadorean ingredients. Diners can look forward to a range of natural wines and cocktails including strawberries, horchata and sacha inchi. With its exciting dishes and innovative use of ingredients, Nuema makes for truly memorable culinary experience.
