Látrabjarg is a majestic cliff face located in the Westfjords, Iceland that is the most western point of both Iceland and Europe. This stunning site provides shelter and seclusion for a wide variety of birds such as skuas, Arctic Terns, guillemots, eider ducks and razorbills, making it an incredibly popular bird-watching location. In the summer, it's not unusual to spot more than five million nesting here! The real stars of the show however are the million plus Atlantic puffins that can be spotted near the top of the cliffs. For those looking for adventure, Látrabjarg is also home to a famous rescue story; the locals used their knowledge of the area to save twelve sailors from a capsized trawler in 1947. Látrabjarg is perfect for travelers looking for an awe-inspiring experience in the great outdoors!
