In 1973 there was an eruption in the Westman Islands which grew the main island to the west. This epic coastline is a part of that new lava which means it's constantly changing and reforming. I'm not sure how long those rock arches will last but having stood on one during a storm and feeling how much it moved as the waves crashed into it I wouldn't bet it will be very long (in geological time). The drive there is pretty easy most of the year but have a look at the road before you drive the final part during winter.
QUICK NOTES:
What it is: An epic coastline in the Westman Islands
Best season: Any
Best time of day: Sunrise / early (will be in the shade by afternoon / sunset)
Nice to know: The lava making up these rocks is relatively new (1973) so it's brittle so be careful
