Located near the town center and in walking distance from the shops and services, the swimming pool in Selfoss is a great spot to wind down before or after your South Coast adventures. It has a 18 meter long indoor childrens pool, 25 meter long outdoor pool, small children's pool with three water slides, steam bath, sauna and hot tubs.
Swimming pools are an integral part of Icelandic culture and has been ever since people started gathering in natural hot springs in the past. It's where people meet an talk about everything from the weather to politics. Entering one of those pools is really the easiest way to immerse yourself in the local culture.
PS. They're almost all geothermally heated!
