At the southeastern edge of Iceland lies this epic mountain range called Krossanesfjall - and at it's tip is the now famous Eystrahorn ("corner of the East"). It's both beautiful from the ground and through the lens of a drone but however you decide to enjoy this place - make sure you walk around a bit.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: One of the most iconic mountains in all of Iceland.

  • Best season: Any.

  • Best time of day: Any. But for photography sunset and sunrise of course (with sunset being my favourite there).

  • Nice to know: If you're a photographer, this place is a dream. The possibilities with the drone are obvious but if you don't have one or you also want to capture it from the ground I recommend you walk onto the beach to the west (just a little bit) and incorporate some foreground using the lagoon reflection and/or the beach itself.
