Þakgil is a hidden gem in south Iceland, nestled in a flat valley surrounded by rugged mountains with a velvet green veneer. • Nice to know: The road there can be quite gnarly but I've seen pretty small cars make it there but I'd always prefer a 4x4 with some ground clearance. There are loads of epic hikes from the canyon which I highly recommend!
