Built in 1944, this is the more recent of the two lighthouse at Gardskagi, Reykjanes. Located just over 15 minutes from the Keflavík airport, with another lighthouse right by and a pretty little beach, this is a nice spot to do a quick stop right before or after your flight.

• Best time of day: Any (but sunset for best light).

• Nice to know: To get some interesting angles to take photos, go down into the beach and use the ground as foreground.
