Built in 1995, this is the newest swimming pool in the area. The pool is an indoor pool, a hot tub, a steam bath and a gym.

Swimming pools are an integral part of Icelandic culture and has been ever since people started gathering in natural hot springs in the past. It's where people meet an talk about everything from the weather to politics. Entering one of those pools is really the easiest way to immerse yourself in the local culture.

PS. They're almost all geothermally heated!
