Opened in 1992, this swimming pool is tucked away in the charming village of Sudureyri in the remote Westfjords. This is the only outdoor swimming pool in the area and has two hot tubs and a children's pool.
Swimming pools are an integral part of Icelandic culture and has been ever since people started gathering in natural hot springs in the past. It's where people meet an talk about everything from the weather to politics. Entering one of those pools is really the easiest way to immerse yourself in the local culture.

Nice to know: Usually you can rent swim wear and a towel at the swimming pool. In most pools in Iceland, admission is FREE for kids and senior visitors (67+).
