During an early morning walk around the town of Eskifjörður in the Eastfjords I noticed this super pretty frame of an old dock with the Mjóeyri Cottages in the back. I'm not necessarily saying you need to find this exact spot but I'm rather trying to promote the very special feeling you get when walking around these small towns of Iceland before everyone else wakes up. If you find yourself in one of those towns, set the alarm a little earlier one day and head out for a quick walk around town.
QUICK NOTES:
What it is: A quiet spot with pretty views in Eskifjörður
Best season: Any
Best time of day: Any but the sunrise light is unreal
Nice to know: My favourite time of day in the small towns of Iceland is before everyone wakes up so if you can set your alarm a little bit before everyone else you can experience and enjoy the town all by yourself (especially during summer)
