A great local swimming pool in Mosfellsbaer. With fun water slides, hot tubs, a competition pool, sauna, and steam room, there's something for everyone to enjoy. There's also an on-site café serveing up smoothies, hot dogs, ice cream, coffee, and more for a well-rounded pool day experience.
Swimming pools are an integral part of Icelandic culture and has been ever since people started gathering in natural hot springs in the past. It's where people meet an talk about everything from the weather to politics. Entering one of those pools is really the easiest way to immerse yourself in the local culture.
PS. They're all geothermally heated!
