2-3h
Piz Boe peak is regarded as the most accessible 3000m in Dolomites. Don't imagine an easy hike when we say that. It is pretty demanding with a few steeper cable protected parts. But nothing an experienced hiker couldn't do.
Hike description You hike to Piz Boe starts with Sasso Pordoi cable car ride. More information on Sasso Pordoi cable car here. From the top station of cable car the path is pretty straightforward but demanding at times. Start with a path number 627A from Sas De Pordoi. Once you reach Rifugio Forcella Pordoi, continue on path 627. The last section is an ascent along 638 path that will take you directly to the summit. The whole way up only takes 1-1.5 hours depending on how fast you are.
From the summit we recommend hiking down to Rifugio Boe on path 638 from where you can take path 627 towards cable car.
When to go Since this hike takes you to a high elevation, it's recommended to go between end of June and end of September. Otherwise you risk icy trail with snow.
Parking There is a large parking near Passo Pordoi cable car here free of charge. Arrive early in the morning otherwise it might be hard to find a free spot.
