Lochan Uaine is a mystical freshwater loch. Many claim that its intriguing green colour is created by magical fairies washing their green dresses in its depths. Surrounded by rolling hills and breathtaking views, it can be reached from Glenmore Forest Park - with a short 2-mile walk to get there from the car park.

Parking instructions:

• Go up the road to the Reindeer Centre and Glenmore Lodge to the road end.

• Car park marked Allt Mor, just past Loch Morlich (pay and display)

• Forestry Commission car park marked An Lochan Uaine (pay and display)
