Castle Stalker is a castle located on a tidal island in Loch Laich. During the summer the castle is open to visitors, but it's easy to pull in to admire the castle at any time. We wandered down to the loch side to get the shot seen here.
Some history:
The castle has seen its fair share of Scottish royalty, with King James IV paying the castle a visit in the 1400s. After changing hands between clans MacDougall and Campbell throughout the 16th and 17th centuries, the castle was abandoned in 1840. In 1908, Charles Stewart of Achara purchased it and restored it to its former glory.
