The National Galleries of Scotland: Portrait holds the national collections of portraits, providing an insight into how Scots have been portrayed over the centuries. The building is a distinctive red sandstone Gothic revival architecture arrayed with intricate sculptures, such as figures of David Hume and Adam Smith, along with ornamental Spanish Gothic style towers topped with crocketed Gothic pinnacles.
Its beautiful interiors are definitely worth seeing in person!
