Dean Village is an enchanting former village in Edinburgh with a rich past that goes back over 800 years.
The settlement was referred to as the “Water of Leith Village” and includes 11 working mills powered by water from the Water of Leith. Today it has been restored into a tranquil oasis while keeping some of its historical landmarks like the four-arched Dean Bridge.
A great place to wander around and explore while in the city and you can enjoy a lovely walk here along the water of Leith walkway, which you can pick up from along Saunders Street in Stockbridge.
