The Golden Road is one of the most spectacular scenic drives in Scotland. Stretching from Tarbert to Rodel, the road hugs the coast and is full of twists and turns as it winds past land lochs and sea lochs, tiny villages, wild mountains, and mesmerizing views.

Along the way, you have the opportunity to spot wildlife like eagles, seals, and cows while admiring the stunning surroundings.

The drive can be done in an hour or so, and although it's a single track with many passing places, it's well worth the effort. It's best to tackle it from Rodel, so the sun is behind you and you can enjoy the scenery in the best possible light.
