The Mount Fremont Fire Lookout in Washington offers hikers a chance to step back in time to when watchmen kept an eye out for wildfires. The two-story cabin, built in 1934, sits at an elevation of 7,200 feet and provides stunning views of Grand Park, Redstone Peak, Skyscraper Mountain, and Berkeley Park. The trail to the lookout is 5.6 miles roundtrip with an elevation gain of 1,200 feet, making it a moderate hike suitable for all skill levels. Don't forget your binoculars to spot mountain goats and black bears in the surrounding meadows!
