The USAT Liberty was a United States Army cargo ship that got torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in January 1942 and beached on the island of Bali, Indonesia. Originally built during World War I, this ship had quite the journey from serving in the Navy to being employed by various corporations. Fast forward to 1963, a volcanic eruption caused the vessel to slip off the beach, where it now rests as a popular dive site off the coast of Bali. So, if you're into underwater adventures, the USAT Liberty wreck is definitely worth checking out!
