Bali is renowned for its magnificent stretches of emerald green rice fields, draped across many of its hill sides. The lush terraces are the result of an ancient irrigation technique known as subak, dating back to the 9th century. From April onward, the start of the dry season is the best time to visit the fields and enjoy the sights and smells of the Bali’s rural countryside. One can experience the tranquil beauty of Bali Rice Fields in Ubud at Tegalalang, Munduk, Jatiluwih, Canggu, Pacung, Payangan, Sidemen, Belimbing Tabanan, and beyond! There are plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby with stunning views of Mount Batukaru and surrounding volcanoes. It’s a traveller’s dream - thanks to its breathtaking panoramas, one cannot help but stay and marvel at the natural wonders!
