Plaza de España is one of Seville’s most iconic landmarks, known for its impressive architecture and expansive, semicircular design. Built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, this monumental plaza is surrounded by a large building that features ornate brickwork, grand arches, and a series of beautiful bridges crossing a canal. What makes the plaza particularly unique are the colorful ceramic tile alcoves that represent each of Spain’s provinces, adding a vibrant touch to the space. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls along the plaza, take a boat ride on the canal, or admire the grand fountains and lush green gardens. Plaza de España’s blend of historical and architectural significance, along with its tranquil ambiance, makes it a must-see for anyone visiting Seville.
