Eklutna is a native village in Alaska, located near Anchorage. It's home to about 70 people, mostly Alaska Native or part Native. The village has a rich history dating back over 800 years and is known for its colorful spirit houses at the Eklutna Historical Park Cemetery. Residents often commute to work in nearby areas like Anchorage or Eagle River. Eklutna was annexed into Anchorage in 1975 and is a close-knit community with a strong connection to its cultural heritage.
