Arboretum Mörk, tucked away in Hallormsstaður National Forest near Egilsstaðir, is a laid-back spot to explore around 80 different tree species from across the globe. Dating back to 1903, it started with 50 Engelmann spruces—five of which are still standing tall. With easy 2-3 hour walking paths starting at the main road's car park, you can stroll through lush greenery, check out shrubs, enjoy a picnic, or chill by the nearby Lake Lagarfljót. It's the perfect place to soak in nature, spot some birds, and unwind.
