Króníkan is a charming spot nestled within the Gerðarsafn Art Museum in Kópavogur, just a short hop from Reykjavik. 🎨🍷 Run by siblings Sigrún Skaftadóttir and Bragi Skaftason, both Kópavogur natives, it offers a cozy, local vibe.
Their menu has a variety of smørrebrød (open-faced sandwiches) with toppings like smoked salmon and eggs, baked vegetables with hummus, and parma ham with parmesan and pesto (which is what I ordered!). For a sweet treat, they have the best chocolate chip cookies, waffles with fruits, chocolate, and cream.
