Ogden, Utah, located about 40 miles north of Salt Lake City, is a city known for its historic buildings, proximity to the Wasatch Mountains, and Weber State University. With a population of around 87,000, it's a hub for freight rail traffic and manufacturing. Ogden was originally named Fort Buenaventura and later renamed after Peter Skene Ogden, a Hudson's Bay Company leader. The city played a significant role in the First transcontinental railroad and is home to the Ogden Utah Temple. Its street grid system and diverse neighborhoods make it a unique place to explore in Utah.
