Mkambati Nature Reserve is a 7720-ha coastal reserve situated in the Eastern Cape. It is home to grasslands and indigenous forests, as well as the magnificent forested ravines of the Msikaba and Mtentu rivers. Visitors will find a wide variety of wildlife such as Eland, Red Hartebeest, Blue Wildebeest, and even Gemsbok in the grasslands. The reserve also has a diverse bird life population with Gurney's Sugarbird and Greater Double Collared Sunbird seeking nectar from the flowering strelitzias. Other attractions include the two famous shipwrecks, Sao Bento and Grosvenor, lying in Lambasi Bay and the breathtaking Horseshoe Falls which plunge into the ocean. With various activities such as canoeing, fishing, game drives, and hiking, Mkhambathi Nature Reserve is sure to be a memorable experience for any nature lover looking to explore unspoilt areas of South Africa.
