Wat Tham Chaeng in Cha-am, Thailand celebrated on September 9th, 2023 the grand unveiling of Thailand’s largest naga statue, a structure envisioned and brought to life by the gifted sculptor, Mr. Prapatt Manissa. Standing at an impressive height of 31 meters, the serpent deity is artfully coiled, with nine twists and a diameter of 2 meters. It was painted in the distinctive shade of Nilpal, reminiscent of a green beetle wing. The celebration featured many performances, a vibrant procession from the edge of Phetkasem Road, and the granting of scholarships to 130 deserving local students. Moreover, a donation of 100,000 baht was made to Cha-am Hospital for the acquisition of medical equipment to further assist patients. This remarkable occasion marked the emergence of a new and iconic landmark in the Phetchaburi Province.
