Wat Thong Nai Pan is an historic Buddhist temple on the island of Koh Phangan, Surat Thani province, Thailand. Built in 1957 at one end of Thong Nai Pan beach, this colorful and captivating temple is a must-see for any visitor to the area. Here one can find a remarkable 18 meter high chedi constructed with 6,000 beer bottles and a small cemetery where some of the burials are likewise made with bottles. An inspiring white boat with its walking monk statue adds splendidly to the atmosphere. The temple also features a small Buddhist library and serves as a great spot for pictures or just a peaceful stroll. Both spiritual and visually stunning, a visit to Wat Thong Nai Pan is sure to be an interesting and memorable experience!
