Hozenji Yokocho is a popular street in the lively district of Osaka's Namba, reminiscent of Kyoto's famous Pontocho Alley. Taking a stroll down this 80-meter long passageway invites visitors back in time to experience the traditional Japan; paper lanterns line cobble stones, and small restaurants offer a variety of gourmet specialty foods such as okonomiyaki, katsudon, and kushikatsu for an enjoyable evening meal. The amazing temple at the end of the street called Hozen-ji offers the opportunity to pray and splash water on the Mizukake Fudo statue, before continuing the night with a festive atmosphere along the Dotonbori River.
