Kaeng Krachan National Park is a popular destination for tourists and adventure seekers alike thanks to its idyllic location along the Thai and Myanmar border. With 2,915 square kilometers of protected land, Kaeng Krachan National Park offers an abundance of tropical vegetation, 91 mammal species, and 461 bird species. There is never a dull moment here as visitors can trek up one of its highest peaks at 1,513 meters, explore its lush rainforest trails, or take a dip in the Kaeng Krachan Reservoir formed by its eastern dam. It has recently been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021 amid ongoing efforts to protect its fragile ecosystem.
