Standing majestic and proud at the peak of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa is Cathedral Peak. This 3,004m basalt mountain in the Drakensberg range is known locally as Mponjwana (Little Horn). It is easily recognised by its distinct spur ridge that is at right angles to the main range. The area around Cathedral Peak is hugely popular with hikers and climbers for its array of peaks: The Twins, The Bell, the Outer and Inner Horns, the Chessmen and Mitre Peak. With an easy one day hike route available, this well-loved mountain is a sight not to be missed!
