The French Concession feels a world away from the modern skyscrapers just a few kilometres away, and has become the go-to place for a wander.

The busy commercial centre vibe is replaced by a more relaxed attitude, with people ambling along streets lined with nice cafe's and interesting shops.

It's an easy spot to spend an afternoon so why not rent one of the city bikes and spend the afternoon exploring a locals' view of Shanghai.
