The Man Mo Temple in Hong Kong is a traditional Chinese temple dedicated to the gods of literature and martial arts. Scholars and students used to visit the temple seeking success in their studies and civil examinations during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The temple complex in Sheung Wan is the most famous, with its main building housing statues of the civil god Man Cheong and the martial god Kwan Tai. The temple has been managed by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals since 1908 and is now a declared monument. Other Man Mo temples can be found in Tai Po and Lantau, each with their own unique history and significance.
