Regent Street is one of London's premier shopping districts, renowned for its iconic flagship stores ranging from Liberty Department Store to the world-famous Hamleys Toy Shop. This vibrant street in the West End of the city had a planned layout, laid out by architect John Nash and developer James Burton, that was completed in 1825 as an early example of town planning. This 0.8 mile long stretch is bustling with pedestrians and features some of the most popular attractions, including the Apple Store, the Royal Polytechnic Institution (now University of Westminster) and plenty of landmarks for indulging in a spot of retail therapy. It connects several tube stations along the way, such as Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus and Charing Cross ensuring visitors and locals alike have no difficulty accessing this vibrant street!
