Message from Kieran - Exploring Scotland

McCaig's Tower, also known as McCaig's Folly by tourists, is a striking tower perched on Battery Hill overlooking Oban in Scotland. Built by banker John Stuart McCaig between 1897 and 1902, the tower was intended to be a grand monument to his family. Although only the outer walls were completed, the structure now serves as a public garden with stunning views of Kerrera, Lismore, and Mull. Visitors can reach the tower via Jacob's Ladder or by car, but watch out for the small parking area!
