Unlike many traditional mountain huts, this rifugio has a modern touch ... it was renovated not too long ago. I stayed here already once and had some meals which were great.
The rifugio offers rooms with 4 beds and 8 beds, so it’s a great option if you’re planning to experience the magical sunrise and sunset without having to rush back down.
If staying overnight isn’t your plan, don’t worry... you can also drive up from the village below (Sant'Antonio di Mavignola) or the area around in the early morning or late evening to enjoy the spectacular views. Rifugio Cornisello is open during the summer months and serves local dishes, making it a perfect spot for a quick break or a relaxed meal with panoramic views.
