Excellent regional park with rolling farmland and stunning views of the water

Shakespear Regional Park is a 500-hectare nature park located at the tip of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula in Auckland, New Zealand. It is named after the Shakespear family who owned it in the 1880s. Much of the coastline is lined by sandstone cliffs sheltering beautiful beaches and Te Haruhi Bay. The park also includes the Tamaki Leadership Centre and many walking trails including Heritage Trail, Lookout Track and Tiri Tiri Track. Wildlife includes resident invertebrates and lizards along with migratory birds from Tiritiri Matangi island sanctuary. This tranquil setting makes for an enjoyable adventure, whether cruising around the coastline or exploring the plentiful trails.
