Black sand beach with interesting rock formations and a hidden swimming hole on private land (hence I have not pinned it)
Anawhata Beach can be found on the stunning West Coast of West Auckland, between Tasman Sea and Waitākere Ranges. It is often overlooked due to its hard-to-reach location, but it makes for a great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Visitors will find spectacular views of the ocean, rolling hills and bluffs, and plenty of activities to explore. From walking trails to streams to rock shelters, there is no shortage of things to do at Anawhata!
