Jardim Público de Évora ("Évora Public Park") is Évora's main green space. It was conceived in the 19th century and congregates several cultural and historical landmarks, such as the remains from the medieval wall (14th century) and the King Manuel I's Palace (16th century). Another notable monument is the iconic bandstand.
This is the perfect spot to spend sometime watching locals and other tourists pass by while also contemplating the nature (many ducks can be seen swimming in the lakes).
Jardim Público de Évora is very close to Igreja de São Francisco ("Saint Francis church"), where the famous Capela dos Ossos ("Chapel of Bones") is located.
