Saxon Switzerland is a hilly landscape located in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains of Saxony, Germany. It is an incredibly popular destination for tourists and rock climbers due to its incredible natural beauty. The highest point in Saxon Switzerland is the Großer Zschirnstein at 562 m above sea level. There are 1,000 climbing peaks to be explored as well as various castles and other historical points of interest such as the Königstein Fortress. Additionally, there is a national park that covers 93km2 and provides nature-lovers with plenty of stunning sights.
